Do you still rent out campervans?

Unfortunately, we have had to pause the rental of our camper vans in Portugal.
For now we are fully focusing on offering pitches at our small campground and 2 rooms in our guesthouse.

How much space is there for campervans and other campers?
Our beautiful estate is over 3.5 hectares (35,000 m2) and despite the size we only offer 5 pitches. We do this because we find privacy very important and to convey the feeling of wild camping as best as possible.
What is the maximum size camper(van) that you can receive?
Our small-scale campground is mainly built for vanlife. This means that it is most suitable for vans up to 6 meters long and 2.5 meters high.
If you would like to visit us with a different size camper, please contact us and we will discuss the options.
What facilities does your campground offer?
In addition to a lovely free space for your campervan or tent, we offer a (warm) outdoor shower under the almond tree, a washing-up station complete with biodigradable dishwash soap and last but not least; a compost toilet including environmentally friendly toilet paper.
When is it possible to check in at the campground?
It would be very nice if you could take into account the times that our campsite manager works. Every day of the week; between 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
What are the check-in and check-out times for the guest house?
Check-in is possible daily from 3:00 PM and check-out must be done before 11:00 AM.
For exceptions, please contact us.
Is there a minimum rental period?
For the campground we don’t have a minimum stay but when you book a room in our guest house we have a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Long-term deals / longer rental discounts?
For our campground we offer a €10 discount on the weekly total for 7 nights or more. We also offer a 10% discount for our guest house for 7 nights or more or even a 25% discount on the entire rental price for 28 days or longer.
Do I have to pay a deposit or what happens if damage occurs in or around the house?
We do not charge a deposit, but we do expect that any damage caused by your own fault to, for example, glass and earthenware, the taking/loss of cutlery or damage due to drink stains/cigarettes, will be reimbursed in cash at the time of the rental period.
What is the cancellation policy for the guest rooms?

Cancellation must be arranged in writing or by e-mail. The date on which Outbase Explorers receives the cancellation letter is considered the date of cancellation. Outbase Explorers advises the renter to take out travel and cancellation insurance.

The cancellation costs are:

  1. In case of cancellation 2 weeks or more before the start of the rental period: 0% of the rental sum.
  2. In case of cancellation from 7 to 4 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the total rental amount;
  3. In case of cancellation 3 days or less before the start of the rental period: 100% of the total rental amount;
